Part 1: Ho Chi Minh Motorbike To Da Lat

Da Lat has always been a hot name in the top tourist destinations in Vietnam. Besides the beauty of the dreamy landscapes, the cool, temperate climate and the extremely hospitable and friendly people are attractions of this miniature Paris.

There are two ways to get here:

Passing Through Cat Tien

The route through Cat Tien is the shortest and probably the most pleasant way to travel from Saigon to Da Lat.

For tourists who travel by motorbike, you should travel along National Highway 1A, about 67km. When coming to Dau Giay junction, turn left and go about 58km more on Highway 20; you will meet Ta Lai junction (kilometer 125).

If you turn left and drive about 24km, you will reach Nam Cat Tien National Park, which is famous for its rich flora, fauna, and cool climate. Before coming to Dalat, stopping here to rest for a while is also a great idea.

If you want to get there quickly, turn left, follow provincial road 72 and turn right onto Lien Khuong Expressway. Turn right onto Highway 20 and go about 76km to Lam Dong province. From here, continue about 150km to Da Lat city.

Passing Through Lagi

La Gi is a small town in Binh Thuan province, a coastline possessing wild beauty and fine dunes. This is a familiar route for Southern loop motorbike tours because it is not too long nor dangerous.

Located about 150km from Saigon, the nearest Lagi route for those who love to travel by motorbike is along National Highway 1A. Then, going to the Tan An area, you turn to National Highway 55. Turn to Nguyen Chi Thanh Street and go straight for about 8km.

To La Gi town, you continue to ride right along Thong Nhat street to National Highway 1A. At the boundary of Tan Nghia town, continue for about 5km; you will see a new fork. Follow the signboard towards Lam Dong province, and arrive in Da Lat.

Although it is an easy and closest road, it is a complex traffic place; many trucks pass. To ensure your safety, you should observe carefully and follow the right lane, as well as speed when participating in traffic.

Part 2: Da Lat To Nha Trang By Motorbike

These two locations are quite close, so many Dalat tourists will come to Nha Trang later and vice versa. The route from Da Lat to Nha Trang has two routes for you to choose from:

Going Through The Mountain Road

For the first route, you can follow National Highway 27 and National Highway 1. Specifically, National Route 1- Tháp Chàm/Phan Rang – National Route 27 – Ngoạn Mục/Ngoan Muc Pass – Đơn Dương/Don Duong Region – National Route 27B – National Route 1A to Nha Trang.

Total length: 200km. 

Ride Through The Coastal Route

This road, besides the sea, is known as 27C or 723C. The route pass through Lạc Dương/Lac Duong region – Khanh Vinh region – Da Lat – Nha Trang – Dien Khanh region.

Follow the route; you’ll have to travel 140 km. There is Nui Ba Park & the Omega pass located on the road. It is a great idea to pay a visit there.

In addition, the travel time from Da Lat – Nha Trang if you go this way will only take 3 hours. Very convenient for those who want to explore all the famous landmarks of Nha Trang in 1 day.

If you must go back to Da Lat within one day, leave at 3 p.m; as the road will be quite foggy and steep. Get on the road early to be safe!

Part 3: Nha Trang To Ho Chi Minh City By Motorbike

After having had many gorgeous and interesting moments of relaxation, it’s time to finish this South Vietnam by motorbike trip and return to Ho Chi Minh city.

Traveling between Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City is extremely easy, with many different routes. How many kilometers from Nha Trang to Saigon will depend on your chosen route. There are two main roads:

Take National Highway 1A: total length is 434km (equivalent to 7 hours and 57 minutes to travel)

Take Highway 20: the total length is 441km (equivalent to 9 hours and 15 minutes of travel).

Ho Chi Minh City is located in the Southeast region and is adjacent to the Mekong Delta. The climate is differentiated into two seasons: the dry season (December – April) and the rainy season (May). – November).
