Distance: 155 km

Riding time: About 2.3 hours

After a briefing on the first day, our crew will go towards Yen Bai, about 155 kilometers from Ha Noi.

We get out of Hanoi's congested traffic as fast as possible, leave the city noise behind, travel through the suburbs, spend time on smaller roads and up into the mountains, and arrive in Vu Linh, Yen Bai.

The mountains of Yen Bai are blanketed by tropical rainforest. The Vu Linh village is a succession of terraced rice fields. Get ready to sense vibrant noises and flavors of the mountains and forests when you arrive! Close your eyes and listen to the water whirling and the sounds of nature waving to the locals.

Welcome to the end of the first day of the itinerary! Today's highlights include a breathtaking view of North Vietnam and thrilling off-road motorcycling!

Day 2: Yen Bai - Ha Giang Motorcycle Tour

Distance: 199 km

Riding time: About 4.3 hours

On the second day, we may continue to ride off-road for a leg of our journey and snake around the edge of the lake to Luc Yen. To travel to Ha Giang, we have to undergo a combination of main and rural roads.

Ha Giang, Vietnam's most northern city, is a unique area that no true motorcyclist should miss on motorbike tours. Hence, Ha Giang is the perfect destination to go on a motorbike trip, soaking up the magnificence of the scenery and the spirit of rural towns and local villages. During the tour to Ha Giang, we will be able to witness local homestays lined up, towering mountains in the background, and you will tear along the riverside.

Here we may view a few things in town before retiring to our hotel for a good night's sleep in preparation for the following day's riding.

Day 3: Ha Giang - Yen Minh Motorbike Tour

Distance: 110 km

Riding time: About 3.2 hours

We may travel the main road on the Happiness Road, also known as QL4c, to view the major sights in Ha Giang.

Despite only a 20-kilometer stretch, the QL4c will stay with you for the rest of your life because, yes, you will drive past cloud level on what feels like you are riding on the top of the world.

As the anticipated vertigo hits around each steep turn, your chest will feel constrict while simultaneously beaming in delight, yelling with glee, or sobbing out of awe for The Happiness Road's immense beauty in specific and Ha Giang in general.

However, we may escape the throng by taking minor routes up to rural district Yen Minh if you are not eager to go sightseeing. In any case, this region will provide spectacular scenery and is teeming with intriguing local people heading to their daily lives.

Day 4: Yen Minh - Dong Van Motorcycle Tour

Distance: 27 km

Riding time: About 50 mins

We've arrived in the Highlands, and no matter which route we choose, we'll behold several fascinating things, whether traffic, people, scenery, or historical buildings. You may either follow the main road or worm via the back lanes. After an open discuss, we'll decide whatever fits us best, but the H'Mong King's Palace and Sa Phin Market must be on the list.

The home of the Vuong family, which was designated as the national cultural and architectural heritage in 1993, is an iconic landmark of the Mong ethnic group who live on the Dong Van plateau. The home is a must-see attraction for travelers in Vietnam.

The Sa Phin market is a primitive, one-of-a-kind market for cultural minorities. People enjoy drinking with their partners, shopping, bartering, and visiting Sa Phin market. The backwater market of Sa Phin is regarded as a signature love market on the rocky plateau of Ha Giang.

If you haven't visited these two spots, don't ever boast that you've come to Ha Giang. Take some time to get to know the inhabitants once you've seen the jaw-dropping scenery! You're going to have a fantastic day!

Day 5: Dong Van - Du Gia Motorbike Trip

Distance: 75 km

Riding time: About 2.2 hours

On our detour to Du Gia, we take the back roads and exit the 'Loop.' These routes are narrower and have less traffic. They lead us through little settlements nestled throughout the hills. Riding isn't tough, but you can not be too relaxed.

Day 6: Du Gia To Ba Be Motorcycle Tour

Distance: 182 km

Riding time: About 5.5 hours

The 6th day is the most challenging day of our journey.

We will experience the long distance to ride on some treacherous roads ahead of us. The road to Bac Me is in decent condition, but after we get off to travel south, our group is entering a rough area that is difficult to traverse and packed with hazards.

In this condition, a nutritious breakfast plus getting up early and cranking up the motor before dawn are essential. In return, grasp the chance to record the magnificent scene when the first light of the sun kisses you.

Day 7: Ba Be - Bac Kan Motorbike Trip

Distance: 78 km

Riding time: About 1.5 hours

The 7th day is simple and quick. Hence, we can sleep in a bit in Ba Be, but we can still reach Bac Kan and enjoy the tea without a hurry.

We choose the smaller routes for adventure so that we may confront a few hurdles along the way. However, depending on each circumstance, we may choose to follow the B-roads into town and have a leisurely trip.

Bac Kan isn't recognized for anything remarkable; therefore, arriving early isn't recommended. We can alternatively skip this section and make an extra day in Ba Be to recover. We may be in need of it as we have experienced the challenging road on the 6th day.

Day 8: Bac Kan - Hanoi Motorcycle Tour

Distance: 164 km

Riding time: About 2.5 hours

The last day of riding is generally a straight run.

We will ride in line with the highway. However, we can escape the traffic by diversifying to travel on a narrower, calmer route. When we go to Thai Nguyen, it is just a simple road to come back to the Vietnamese capital before the rush hour.
