The Lake Loop: 9 day motorcycle tour is about visiting the northern national park and lakes. This vacation is not entirely spent riding because we get a few days free to explore some sites. On relaxing days, we may schedule riding or experiencing other activities, like visiting local attractions, caverns, or boating, which is a pleasant break for your sore body after a long trip.

Day 1: From Hanoi To Xuan Son Motorbike Tour 

Distance: 126 km

Riding time: About 3 hours

We choose the simple road to sneak out of Hanoi, following the Red River, and then via Ba Vi Mountain Range on QL32. 

The road gets us escaping quickly and onto mostly peaceful highways. We follow the smaller rural roads into the Xuan Son National Park, a peaceful retreat sheltered from the mayhem of urban Vietnam. Our guesthouse is the finest in the area. However, the neighborhood may be loud with local tourists. If we have time, we can swim in the nearby swim hole and cave.

Day 2: From Xuan Son To Thac Ba Motorcycle Tour

Distance: 126 km

Riding time: About 2.5 hours

Although we follow the calmer routes up to Thac Ba on the second day of the motorbike tour, we don't get quiet riding until the very end. When we put our feet here at Thac Ba lake ( Vu Linh, Yen Binh, Yen Bai ), it is calm and relaxing. You can choose to stay at a homestay to rest or swim or join the boat ride!

Day 3: From Thac Ba To Ba Be Motorbike Tour 

Distance: 179.5 km

Riding time: About 4.5 hours

On the third day, we can take some other smaller roads. Then we possibly ride off-road on some little dirt paths. We will have a chance to experience the daily life of people who live far away from the paved road. 

Tasting the true local people's life will pave the way to authentic life in an area!

Day 4: Relaxing Day - Ba Be Lake

The fourth day is about relaxing, and it is a lake day too! Why? Because you can join all the lake activities, from swimming, moving your muscles with a boat ride, kayaking, or swimming! Water will wash your body and even all the tiredness from your soul.

Alternatively, you can discover the area by riding a bike. If you are not in the moving mood, you can stay at the homestay and rest all day! Whatever you feel is right, you can do it!

The fourth day is a chance to recharge after some days of hard riding and prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 5: From Ba Be To Cao Bang/Ban Gioc Motorcycle Tour

Distance: 124 km

Riding time: About 3.2 hours

The fifth day is super energy day! 

On Cao Bang Unesco GeoPark, we pass via Phia Oac National Park. The place is one of the few areas to see snowfall in Vietnam. 

If everything is under control, we can follow the schedule without interruption. We can go past Tinh Tuc Mine through some minor roads. Then, we started to climb the mountain and continued by descending to Cao Bang city. 

We may either set up the headquarters here or explore a place 90km away from Cao Bang city - the famous destination - of Ban Gioc Falls.

Day 6: Ban Gioc (Cao Bang) - Relaxing Day

The sixth day is another day of unwinding! You can do plenty of things here, the place with more than 5000 reviews on Google - the Ban Gioc! Some outstanding activities that we must name here for you are: 

- Visit Ban Gioc Falls

- Observe or sneak a bit to China border checkpoints

- Visit Pac Bo 

- Visit Nguom Ngao Cave

- Hike up to Truc Lam Zen Monastery

- Walk and listen to some facts and interesting things about the place with local people.

Day 7: From Cao Bang To That Khe Motorbike Tour

Distance: 62 km

Riding time: About 1.3 hours

The seventh day is when we begin to ride back to the Capital! We take several detours, get off the paved road and then ride to That Khe! We may encounter stunning limestone karst terrain and some eye-catching ethnic houses on the way!

Day 8: From That Khe To Bac Son Motorcycle Tour

Distance: 75.3 km

Riding time: About 2.5 hours

The distance and riding time is average. We will have a day to finish it, so no worries! We can consider a few diversions based on the weather situation and advice from local people! There are several minor trails in this region that we may follow to make the 8th day an enjoyable experience.

Day 9: From Bac Son To Hanoi Motorbike Tour

Distance: 155 km

Riding time: About 2.3 hours

We come to the last day of this amazing journey! 

The final route returning to Hanoi never fails you either. The first part of the trip is to pass the hills. However, as we reach the Hong River Delta, we must utilize the major routes for speed. You are almost completing your lake loop route! 

The last thing we must concentrate on is guaranteeing a safe return. The goodbye meal is waiting for you at the finish line in the evening.
