DAY 1: HANOI – MAI CHAU VALLEY ( L, D - 180 KM)
To begin your first-day tour, you are advised to fuel up yourself before starting to ensure your health condition.
Leaving Hanoi, we head to Hanoi countryside cross the western edge of the Red River Delta with lively scenery of the countryside. We continue the motorbike tour to Mai Chau after lunchtime.
The road is quite easy to ride before we ascend to steep mountain the lush valley is gradually appearing. We will pause at the top of the pass to get the panorama view of surrounding sceneries made up of hills, mountains, green paddy fields before driving down to the valley and arrive in a large village of the Thai ethnic group. It is a well-organized and prosperous village as many others in the region with wooden houses on stilts standing in lines. All the houses are spacious with a palm leaf roof and bamboo slat floor; the kitchen is set at one end of the house.
The Thai people cultivate themselves to get food for their daily lives. Also, they still preserve the traditional art of weaving and embroidering to make brocade fabric. If you are interested in you can buy these handicraft products as souvenirs. Take your time strolling around the village, meeting the locals, have some talks. The dinner features a Thai traditional dance and a local drink. We stay overnight in a Thai stilt house.

DAY 2: MAI CHAU – PHU YEN ( B, L, D – 160 KM )
The VietnamBikers team will have breakfast before Saying goodbye to the Thai ethnic minority, our group will head out for Phu Yen town. During the time to Phu Yen, we will take a rest in Moc Chau in which we have lunch.
Moc Chau is widely famous for its green tea plantations, fruit gardens, etc. Let feed your soul with fresh air, peace, blossom.
Take some pictures and record your moment here, then we continue our tour to Da River and reach Phu Yen town around 5 pm. you are free to admire the peace of Da River Lake or join in “hunting clouds trip” on top of high mountains which gives you the most unforgettable experiences.
We have dinner in a local restaurant and stay in a booked hotel.

DAY 3: PHU YEN – MU CANG CHAI – THAN UYEN
Today is going to be amazing because of all the destinations we will pass through. We disembark from Phu Yen then continue riding along the QL.37. Afterward, the team will conquer the Lung Lo pass which is a border between Son La and Yen Bai province.
58 years ago, during wartime, this pass was the key road to transfer foods and other necessaries for the revolutionary army to fight against the fortification of Dien Bien Phu. That is the reason why this pass became the national historic relic recognized by the ministry of culture, sports, and tourism in 2011.
After passing this site, we turn to the QL. 32 then keep moving on. However, do not drive too fast because you might want to stop somewhere to capture the best scenic views such as Mam Xoi hill or Mu Cang Chai terraced paddy field. You will see the lush valley colored by the ripen rice field, the green trees from surrounding mountains, clouds, and the sky.
What a wonderful picture! Now follow your guide, we might arrive Than Uyen town in Lai Chau province around 5 pm.

DAY 4: THAN UYEN – SAPA
This morning, the tour route is traveling from Than Uyen to Sapa. Coming to Sapa takes us around 2.5hrs riding over 100 km. this part of the Northern Vietnam Motorbike Tour will definitely amaze you by the most challenging but fantastic as crossing O Quy Ho Pass which is listed as one out of four daunting passes in Northwestern Vietnam.
The pass is 50km long through the massive range mountain Hoang Lien Son with a height of 2000m above the sea level connecting Lao Cai and Lai Chau province. From the top of O Quy Ho's pass, you can get the panorama of Fansipan mountain – the highest mountain in Indochina. This legendary experience definitely can inspire any adventure lover.
Crossing this borderline, we ride motorcycle to Sapa town. One of the top attractions up north Vietnam that you should never miss. We reach Sapa at noon so the rest time we spend for Sapa.
The whole area is blessed with awe-inspiring beauty, you can rent local costumes and have a short trip to visit some famous attractions here namely Muong Hoa valley, some villages of the ethnic tribal groups like Cat Cat, Ta Phin, or enjoy “Love Market”.

DAY 5: SAPA – BAC HA
Today let’s add one more destination to your travel map which is Bac Ha town.
Bac Ha is located to the East of Lao Cai province meanwhile Sapa lies in the northwest, which is around over 100km far from Sapa town. “Bac Ha” name derives from the Tay spoken language “Pạc ha” meaning “hundred giants tree bundles”. This place is well-known for holding a special market – just open every Sunday. Different from Love Market in Sapa,
Bac Ha market is a cultural exchange occasion. If you come to this market you will see people from other provinces, visitors gathering here trading various goods. From clothes to food, from farming equipment to animals like horses, dogs, buffalo, etc. The lively and exciting atmosphere reflects a happy and optimistic lifestyle out there. DAY 6: BAC HA – HA GIANG
Leaving Bac Ha market today we are going to reach the far northern city of Viet Nam which is Ha Giang. Such an ideal place to experience the road trip on two wheels, soak up the majesty of the landscape and the atmosphere of the remote towns and minority villages,
Ha Giang is waiting for you. During the ride you will see the local homestays in lines, high mountains surrounding, riding along the river. Our tour group will have lunch in Xin Man town then drive to Hoang Su Phi terraced rice fields for photos before stepping to Ha Giang city.

DAY 7: HA GIANG – DONG VAN – MEO VAC
Exploring Ha Giang by motorbike is always on the bucket list of any adventure motorcyclist traveling in Vietnam. This city offers you a lot of places to challenge yourself, your companions and to broaden your mind. Ride your dirt bike to the northeast of Ha Giang, the terrain is more different.
Crossing winding passes, the rocky mountains are appearing. Remember to take photos over Quan Ba twin mountain before passing Quan Ba heaven gate to hit Dong Van karst plateau Geopark – the first global Geopark in Vietnam. “ the scientists have preliminarily made statistics of 45 geomorphic heritages, 33 tectonic heritages, and numerous fossils in the sediment stone stratum on Dong Van karst plateau Geopark”. Besides, this tourist site is also a place the culture of community 17 ethnic groups reside. “Dong Van Karst Plateau is a unique combination between Geoheritages and cultural heritage”.
“Meo Vac is a small but charming district capital hemmed in by steep karst mountains and, like many towns in the northwest, it is steadily being settled by Vietnamese from elsewhere. The journey here along the spectacular Mai Pi Leng Pass, which winds for 22km from Dong Van, is the main attraction.
The road has been cut into the side of a cliff with a view of rippling hills tumbling down to the distant waters of the Nho Que River far below. Right at the top of the pass is a lookout point where you can stop to take in the scenery”. Our Motorcycle team will ride to Meo Vac town and stay overnight in a home-stay.

DAY 8: MEO VAC – QUANG UYEN
Our team will have breakfast before departing from Meo Vac town, Ha Giang. We head down to the QL.34 and come to another province – Cao Bang. This route is about 200km long offering you a view of average-height mountains, covered with green forest. Particularly, today's destination is home to famous traditional folk festivals like Firework festival, etc. Meeting new friends from many ethnic groups, listening to legendary stories to more appreciate cultural values.
After riding through Cao Bang city, we approach a small town called Quang Uyen. A Dinner party will be the highlight. Stay overnight here

DAY 9: QUANG UYEN – BAN GIOC WATERFALL – CAO BANG
You might be so excited today because we are going to show you one of the most beautiful sites in Cao Bang - Ban Gioc waterfall. Quang Uyen town lies nearby this waterfall; therefore you can take it easy. Our team will have breakfast, being on a motorbike to enjoy sceneries along the way before reaching the place. We stop there, have a break.
You can get swimming, taking photos, strolling around. Afterward, the motorcyclists will head back to Cao Bang city and stay overnight there.

Day 10: Cao Bang – Ba Be Lake
The 10th day in the motorbike touring journey takes you to another must-visit site in the northeast of Vietnam which is “Ba Be lake” province in the north of Vietnam which is Bac Kan.
Ba Be lies in Ba Be National Park containing a diversity of flora and fauna as well as interesting geology and landscapes to discover. You can do a kayak or take a boat to visit this largest natural lake in Vietnam. The lakes have a lot to offer, including waterfalls, rivers, valleys, lakes, and caves all set amidst picturesque landscapes giving any tourist a sense of calmness, and happiness.
After this activity, our group will have a dinner gathering with the Tay ethnic tribe, taste local cuisine, and stay in the Tay’s homestay.

DAY 11: BA BE LAKE – THAC BA LAKE
Today we will come to another beautiful freshwater lake ( Thac Ba lake ) – a place that surely satisfies all of you – the adventure lovers. Especially, besides natural landscapes with scenic views we will spend some time visiting a historical relic – ATK Dinh Hoa, in which Vietnamese beloved president Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese Communist party leaders lived and declared the most important decisions leading to victory during the wartime against the French army.
Learning about the history then let open yourself to get more about the culture of the ethnic tribal group – the Dao people community. Our group will settle in the Dao family’s house.

- DRIVER’S LICENSE

- CREDIT CARD: there are ATMs in Hanoi. Payment with card only in Hanoi.

Monkey Bridge In Northeast Vietnam
Day 9
QUANG UYEN – BAN GIOC WATERFALL – CAO BANG
You might be so excited today because we are going to show you one of the most beautiful site in Cao Bang - Ban Gioc waterfall. Quang Uyen town lies nearby this waterfall; therefore you can take it easy. Our team will have breakfast, being on motorbike to enjoy sceneries along the way before reaching the place. We stop there, have a break.

Day 10
Cao Bang – Ba Be lake
The 10th day in the motorbike touring journey takes you to another must-visit site in the northeast of Vietnam which is “Ba Be lake” province in the north of Vietnam which is Bac Kan.
Ba Be lies in Ba Be National Park containing a diversity of flora and fauna as well as interesting geology and landscapes to discover. You can do kayak or take a boat to visit this largest natural lake in Vietnam. The lakes have a lot to offer, including waterfalls, rivers, valleys, lakes, and caves all set amidst picturesque landscapes giving any tourist a sense of calmness, and happiness.
After this activity, our group will have dinner gathering with the Tay ethnic tribe, taste local cuisine and stay in the Tay’s homestay.

Day 11
BA BE LAKE – THAC BA LAKE
Today we will come to another beautiful freshwater lake – a place surely satisfy all of you – the adventure lovers. Especially, besides natural landscapes with scenic views we will spend sometimes to visit a historical relic – ATK Dinh Hoa,in which Vietnamese beloved president Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese Communist party leaders lived and declared the most important decisions leading to victory during the wartime against the French army.
Learning about the history then let open yourself to get more about culture of the ethnic tribal group – Dao people community. Our group will settle in Dao family’s house.

Day 12
THAC BA LAKE – HANOI:( B, L, D – 180 KM )
Today is the ride back to we started. We come here take nothing but pictures leave nothing but footprints. Say goodbye to the locals, follow your guide then drive back Hanoi before rush hour then finish 12 day Northern Vietnam Dirt bike Tour.
