Vietnam Coastline Expedition

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Da Nang – Hue (Approx. 150 km) (L / D)

Welcome to Da Nang — engines ready, adventure loading

We kick off the journey with a morning visit to the iconic Golden Bridge, standing high above the mountains — a surreal start before we hit the road. From there, we cruise down to Hoi An, where the vibe slows and the coastline opens up. Time to enjoy one of Vietnam’s best beaches and a fresh local lunch before the real ride begins.

Then it’s throttle on.

We climb into the legendary Hai Van Pass — a must-ride for any biker in Vietnam. Sweeping curves, ocean views on one side, jungle-covered mountains on the other. This is where the ride comes alive. Corner after corner, elevation, wind, and that feeling of pure freedom.

Descending from the pass, we roll into Hue — the ancient capital of Vietnam. The city sits quietly along the Perfume River, rich with history and old-world charm.

Tonight, we unwind, enjoy local food, and soak in the atmosphere of a kingdom from another time.

First day. Coastal roads. Legendary pass. The adventure has begun.

Day 2: Hue – Khe Sanh (Approx. 180 km) (B / L / D)

Today, the ride shifts from coastal beauty to deep history — we follow the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail into one of Vietnam’s most significant war regions 🏍️🔥

We leave Hue and head north toward the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), where the landscape holds stories from another time. The ride takes us through quiet countryside before arriving at the Vinh Moc Tunnels — an underground world carved beneath the earth, where entire communities once lived during the war. Walking through these tunnels is powerful, raw, and unforgettable.

Back on the bikes, we continue deeper along the Ho Chi Minh Trail — a route once used for supply lines, now transformed into one of the most scenic and meaningful rides in Vietnam. Jungle-covered hills, winding roads, and remote landscapes surround us as we ride toward Khe Sanh.

This place is more than just a destination — it’s history you can feel. Once a key battlefield, today Khe Sanh stands as a quiet witness to the past, with relic sites that bring the story back to life.

A day where riding meets history — powerful, emotional, and unforgettable.

Day 3: Khe Sanh – Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park (Approx. 240 km) (B / L / D)

We leave the echoes of history behind and push deeper into the wild — today is all about pure riding and raw nature

The road takes us along the Laos border, following the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail through the western side of the Truong Son Mountains. This is where the ride gets technical — endless sharp curves, tight switchbacks, and long stretches of jungle road that demand full focus and reward every turn.

It’s remote, it’s quiet, and it feels untouched. Just you, the bike, and the rhythm of the road cutting through deep forest and mountain terrain.

Then the landscape opens up. The intensity fades into calm as we roll into the peaceful surroundings of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This place is home to some of the largest caves in the world — a hidden world beneath the jungle, waiting to be explored. After a full day of riding, the contrast hits hard… from adrenaline to absolute tranquility.

A perfect balance of challenge and reward.

Day 4: Caving in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park (Easy Day) (B / L / D)

Today, we trade the bikes for a different kind of adventure — underground, wild, and unforgettable

No ride today, but the adrenaline doesn’t stop. We head deep into the jungle to explore one of the incredible cave systems of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park — either Tu Lan Cave or Tien Cave, depending on conditions.

The day is all about exploration. Trekking through dense forest, crossing streams, climbing over rocks, and even swimming through sections of the cave — this is real adventure, not just sightseeing. Every step takes you deeper into a hidden world shaped over millions of years.

Inside, the scale is mind-blowing. Massive caverns, towering formations, and complete silence broken only by dripping water echoing through the darkness. It’s raw, powerful, and something you have to experience to believe.

Midday, we take a break with a picnic lunch by a waterfall — surrounded by jungle, fresh air, and the sound of nature all around.

A slower day on paper, but one packed with discovery, challenge, and a completely different side of Vietnam.

Day 5: Phong Nha – Cua Lo Beach (Approx. 210 km) (B / L / D)

We leave the jungle behind and fire up the engines again — back on the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail for another day of pure riding

The road throws everything at us — winding mountain passes, tight curves, and fast-flowing sections that keep the adrenaline high. It’s a rider’s playground, cutting through remote landscapes and quiet countryside as we push south toward the coast.

Kilometer after kilometer, we take on the curves, climb the hills, and ride the rhythm of the trail — until the air begins to change. Warmer, saltier… the ocean is getting close.

By the time we roll into Cua Lo Beach, the vibe shifts completely. Boots off, helmets down — it’s time to relax.

Tonight, we celebrate the ride the best way possible: BBQ by the beach, cold beers in hand, and the sound of the waves in the background.

From jungle trails to ocean breeze — today delivers the perfect contrast.

Day 6: Nghe An – Ninh Binh (Approx. 200 km) (B / L / D)

Back on the road, we ride north along the edge of the Gulf of Tonkin, where the landscape begins to shift once again

The route takes us through the heart of Northern Central Vietnam — a region where cultures blend and the scenery evolves with every kilometer. Quiet villages, open fields, and winding roads create a smooth and flowing ride, giving you time to enjoy the journey and the changing atmosphere.

As we approach Ninh Binh, the landscape transforms into something truly special. Towering limestone karsts rise dramatically from the rice fields, creating a surreal scene often called “Ha Long Bay on land.”

We enter the Trang An Landscape Complex (UNESCO World Heritage Site) — a place rich in history and natural beauty. Once the ancient capital of Vietnam, this region carries the spirit of old dynasties, temples, and traditional culture that still lives on today.

Rolling into Ninh Binh, you’ll feel it instantly — a perfect mix of nature, history, and calm after days of riding.

A day of smooth roads, cultural depth, and unforgettable scenery.

Day 7: Ninh Binh – Ha Long Bay (Approx. 180 km) (B / L / D)

Early start. Final push. Destination: one of the world’s greatest wonders 🏍️🔥

We roll out at sunrise, chasing the first light as we ride along the edge of the Gulf of Tonkin. The morning air is cool, the roads are quiet, and the feeling hits different — smooth throttle, open views, and the anticipation building with every kilometer.

The ride is fast, flowing, and scenic — a perfect contrast to the previous days. Coastal vibes, long stretches, and that sense of closing out an epic journey in style.

By late morning, we arrive in Quang Ninh, where the bikes rest and the adventure shifts gears. We step off the road and onto a cruise in Ha Long Bay — trading engines for ocean breeze.

Lunch is served on board as the boat glides through towering limestone karsts rising from emerald waters. After days of riding, it’s time to slow down, relax, and take it all in.

From throttle to tranquility — the perfect ending is in sight

Day 7: Ninh Binh – Ha Long Bay (Approx. 180 km) (B / L / D)

Day 8: Ha Long – Hanoi (Approx. 180 km) (B / L)

Back on land, back on the throttle — final ride of the journey

We leave Ha Long Bay before noon, stepping off the cruise and back onto the bikes, ready for the last stretch toward Hanoi. After lunch, we hit the road again, riding alongside the historic Bach Dang River — a place rich with stories of Vietnam’s past and legendary battles.

The route flows through quiet rural landscapes, where time seems to slow down. Small villages, rice fields, and local life unfold along the way — a peaceful contrast to the wild days behind us.

As Hanoi draws closer, the energy builds again. The journey comes full circle — from mountains to jungle, from coastlines to world wonders.

We arrive back in Hanoi around 4 PM, either at the city center or Noi Bai International Airport, depending on your schedule.

The ride ends… but the memories don’t.

From the Ho Chi Minh Trail to Ha Long Bay — you’ve experienced Vietnam the way it was meant to be.
