Day 1 — Sapa to Muong Khuong

The Off-road Sapa – Ha Giang loop opens on the legendary Highway 4D, climbing out of Sapa through a run of tight, sweeping mountain curves. The day traces the frontier country to the Pha Long border station, passing memorial plaques honouring the resistance fighters of 1979 and the historic Le Dinh Chinh Fortress before winding down to a local homestay in Muong Khuong.

Day 2 — Muong Khuong to Bac Ha (via Si Ma Cai)

A highlight is Can Cau market, a vivid weekly gathering of local trading and traditional brocade, before the day ends with the comfort of a hotel in Bac Ha.

Day 3 — Bac Ha to Xin Man

The longest and most adventurous day. After a visit to the famous Bac Ha market, the route climbs over the Lung Cai mountain crossing on cloud-covered roads, dropping through the Nan Ma valley and Coc Keo town. Along the way you'll pass the ancient Nam Dan stones and the Thac Tien waterfall before reaching the Xin Man border gate and a night in a local homestay.

Day 4 — Xin Man to Ha Giang (via Hoang Su Phi)

The grand finale rides through the world-famous terraced fields of Hoang Su Phi and the misty landscapes beneath Mount Con Linh. You'll cross the dramatic Heaven Gate pass, stop at the National Monument and the Red Dao village of Nam Hong, and pass through the Shan snow region before arriving in Ha Giang to close the Off-road Sapa – Ha Giang loop.
