Tour Introduction
Throttle up for the Off-road Sapa Dirtbike Adventure — three days of pure trail riding through the wild highlands of Northwest Vietnam. This is a ride built around dirt: rocky climbs, forest tracks and mountain single-track that carry you from Lao Cai up to the fog-shrouded valley of Y Ty and out across the hidden villages scattered around Sapa. If you came to ride rather than to sightsee from a bus, this is your kind of trip.
The Off-road Sapa Dirtbike Adventure isn't only about the riding, though — between the trails you'll roll into the heart of hill-tribe country, past Y Ty, Cat Cat, Sin Chai, Ta Phin, Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van, where ancient terraced rice fields cascade down the Hoang Lien Son mountains and the Muong Hoa valley unfolds at riding pace. Every day delivers at least 50% off-road, backed by an English-speaking guide who's also your mechanic and photographer, and the trip runs for anyone from a lone rider to a full group.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1 — Lao Cai to Y Ty to Sapa
The Off-road Sapa Dirtbike Adventure kicks off in Lao Cai and points the front wheel straight at the rough stuff, climbing challenging off-road terrain toward the remote, cloud-drenched valley of Y Ty. It's a proper introduction to Vietnam's mountain riding — technical, scenic and demanding — before the trail carries you on to Sapa for the night.

Day 2 — Sapa Trail Loop: Cat Cat, Sin Chai & Ta Phin
A day dedicated to the dirt: a loop out of Sapa that drops through the Cat Cat valley, works through Sin Chai and climbs to the Red Dao village of Ta Phin before circling back. With trail riding front and centre from start to finish, this is where the Off-road Sapa Dirtbike Adventure really lets you open up the throttle.

Day 3 — Sapa to Lao Cai via Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai & Ta Van
The finale winds down into the Muong Hoa valley, beginning at the peaceful riverside village of Y Linh Ho. Pull over for a simple, memorable lunch at a roadside stall gazing over the sleepy Lao Chai valley, then ride TL 152 through Thanh Phu and Thanh Kim — a road of poetic bends and open valleys — and over the Xuan Giao crossing. The route rolls back to Lao Cai with a stop at the Vietnam–China frontier before you catch the evening train home to Hanoi.

Tour Conclusion
Three days, endless trail: the Off-road Sapa Dirtbike Adventure packs the toughest and most rewarding riding in the Northwest into one compact loop — the demanding climb to misty Y Ty, the dirt loops around Sapa through Cat Cat, Sin Chai and Ta Phin, and the poetic run down the Muong Hoa valley past Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van. It's technical riding, jaw-dropping scenery and real hill-tribe culture, all far from the tourist tarmac.
Every kilometre is fully supported by a guide-mechanic who knows these mountains inside out, with at least 50% off-road each day and the freedom to tailor the route to your group and skill level. Whether you ride alone or with your crew, this is Sapa the way dirt riders want it. Dates are flexible and the trip can be customised on request — get in touch to book the Off-road Sapa Dirtbike Adventure and let the trail take over.
