Vietnam Offroad Motorbike Tours: Mud, Mist & Magic
Day 1: Hanoi - Pu Luong Nature Reserve Motorcycle Tour
The tour guide picked us up in Hanoi and headed west together. The first short part of offroad Vietnam motorcycle tours used up all of our patience as we inched along the busy road. Luckily, things started to brighten up once we got out of the bustling capital.
The 80km main road took us to the peaceful suburbs before crossing the backroads. That was when the magic happened! Nature took hold as the concrete jungle disappeared and gave way to the majestic limestone mountains. The stunning scene fueled the ember trapped within our souls.
As we rode along, we were mesmerized by the lush plantations and deep green valleys stretching endlessly that we lost track of time, and before we could realize it, we arrived at a cozy homestay in Pu Luong.

Day 2: Pu Luong Dirtbike Travel To Moc Chau Plateau
The melody of life from the Nature Reserve woke us up. Through the window, the vast view of terraced fields hidden behind a misty veil immediately washed away our sleepiness, replaced by excitement and anticipation. We revived our engines with uplifted spirits and set off on the winding roads.
The beautiful weather facilitated our motorcycle tour Vietnam, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the charming beauty of nature. We passed many outstanding sightseeing spots, from floating bridges to alluring Ma Cave. Every twist and turn of the road revealed a new marvel to behold.
Our adventure wouldn't be complete without tackling some exhilarating dirt roads. As we made our way towards the magnificent Moc Chau plateau, the rugged terrain added an extra dash of excitement. The thrill of conquering those bumpy paths was unparalleled, and the sense of accomplishment that came with each successful maneuver was invigorating.

Day 3: Moc Chau Plateau - Phu Yen Motorbike Path
The first off-road challenges came right in our first steps towards Phu Yen. From the backroads to the trails, the bumpy terrain turned into a stomach-churning roller coaster that devoured our breakfast even before crossing rivers.
After a short break, the road condition improved, allowing us to gaze at the spectacular scenery on both sides. We continued our path and embarked on the deserted road along the Da River. The cool breeze gently tousled our hair and carried away all our troubles.
Before ending a thrilling day, we conquered the last 5 km off-road on winding mountain roads. At the peak, the beautiful roads look like a delicate line of silk embracing the steep mountains. All the bumps we had encountered along the way faded into the background, replaced by a profound sense of awe and appreciation.

Day 4: Phu Yen - Ta Xua - Tram Tau Motorcycle Route
We had a short motorbike ride this morning, but it threw a lot of off-road challenges until Phu Yen. As soon as we exited the town, we hit narrow, twisty road tracks as if we were riding on the edge of the world. The roller coaster of anticipation sent shivers down our spines as we conquered the steep roads. The deep abyss yawned beside us, ready to swallow any careless racer who made a misstep.
With thrumming hearts, we put our riding skills to another test - The Dinosaur Spine. Even the most experienced riders among us approached this narrow road with excitement and caution. It looked like a tightrope hanging between towering limestone mountains. The sea of fog obscured our vision, making each step forward more terrifying.
But what was on the other side of the pass was worth our efforts. The winding road guided us through natural scenery. The valleys teeming with life dotted by sparse villages washed away our weariness. And to top it all off, our arrival in Tram Tau offered us a well-deserved treatโa free relaxing session at a natural hot spring.

Day 5: Motorcycle Trip From Tram Tau To Mu Cang Chai
The splendor of terraced fields reached a new level as we set foot in Mu Cang Chai. Bathed in the spring sunlight, the ripened rice fields shone with a brilliant yellow hue. The breeze wafted the bracing scent of the countryside, sweeping away any lingering shadows of negativity.
Following the trails coiled in ribbons around the hills, we passed rustic farms and villages. As the sun chased away the thin veil of fog, our North Vietnam motorbike tours arrived at Kha Pha. Luckily, the roads to the top were in good condition, allowing us to shift our eyes to the breathtaking landscape. We couldn't resist but captured countless Instagram-worthy moments encapsulating the serenity of Mu Cang Chai.

Day 6: Mu Cang Chai - Sapa Motorbike Trip
Our adventurous souls couldn't say no to the routes through untouched lands instead of the single tracks straight into Sapa town. The adventurous roads severed everything to satiate our thrilling cravings - challenging off-roads and incredible natural landscapes.
Our chosen path consisted of four remarkable passes, each featuring its own unique allure. One that truly stood out was O Quy Ho Pass. At an altitude of 2000 meters, the ascending way to the peak presented an impressive gradient that fueled the adrenaline rush through our veins.
Without crowded sightseeing spots, our motorbike tour took a well-deserved break at the mountain top. We could feel fulfillment in our bones when a panoramic scene where the sky met with jungle-covered mountains unfolded before us. With every moment passing by, the touch of nature healed our inner child from the bleeding scars of the past.
Sapa, a tourist hotspot, waited for us on the way down the hill. The energy of this romantic town stole our attention. It has been a long time since we once again basked in the bustle and hustle of life.

Day 7: Sapa - Bac Ha Motorbike Path
Our motorbike tour dedicated the morning to roam around Sapa. Escaping the noisy town, we rode to Muong Hoa Valley, but the poor terrain wasted a lot of time. Our team found it almost impossible to navigate through some muddy sections. We turned off the engine and pushed our motorbike for quite a distance.
Luckily, the stunning scenery lifted the pressure off our feet. Walking slowly through terraced fields and small waterfalls weaving through cliffs left us spellbound.
After lunch, we sped toward Bac Ha. You should arrange your schedule on Sunday to participate in the weekend market. Trust us, the bustling atmosphere will instantly boost your mood. It is also an ideal place to shop for souvenirs such as brocade bags or handmade corn wine. We brought home some beautiful blankets and the lingering flavors of rustic local dishes.

Day 8: Bac Ha Motorcycle Route To Thac Ba Lake
After days on challenging roads, we navigated to Bac Ha on dusty yet smooth roads. Along the way, we encountered many ethnic minorities who greeted us with great enthusiasm. Our focus was back on track as we geared up for the off-road tests on Route 70 along the riverbank. Soon, we made it to Thac Ba Lake.
Taking a boat was the best way to fully uncover the charms of the small islands in this vast area. Do not forget to bring a swimsuit to dive into the cool water and let the golden sunset embrace you.
When the moonlight danced on the rooftops and permeated the air with its heart-touching romance, we celebrated a cozy farewell party with local specialties and rice wine. Giggles bounced merrily, painting a joyful backdrop for our stories and creating memories that forever etched in our minds.

Day 9: Thac Ba Lake - Hanoi Motorbike Adventure
The waves of sorrow crushed our souls when we traveled back to Hanoi. We took the secondary route to include two backroads to stay close to nature as long as possible. The Lo River and then the fertile Red River chased and saw us off until the entrance to the bustling capital. In these moments, it was important to slow down and cherish the last traces of our adventure.
After days of living in the arms of Mother Nature, the transition to the chaotic traffic of Hanoi was frustrating. Even though there wasn't much danger, the honking of the car and the engine pierced through our spirits, extinguishing the flames of our adventurous souls. It was time to kiss goodbye to Vietnam dirtbike tours!

Conclusion
Our Vietnam offroad motorbike tours were an unforgettable adventure that took us off the beaten path. From the natural beauty to the warm hospitality of the ethnic minority people, every moment was filled with awe and excitement.ย
