Introduction
When traveling through Vang Vieng by motorbike, it takes only 10 minutes to get out and find oneself in the midst of rice paddies, karsts, and rice growers farming the crop by hand.
Especially, there are many places to rent motorcycles. Doesn't it sound fantastic? Let's have a look at this form of tourism in this post.
Vang Vieng Outskirts by motorbike
Vang Vieng, Laos, is a reformed and rejuvenating oasis. In the shadows of magnificent green mountains and cliffs, what was once a party town has become a remote sanctuary.
Some of Asia's most beautiful motorcycle roads may be found in Vang Vieng! Beautiful tropical woods, tiny towns, and gorgeous turquoise lagoons will be passed through on your riding journey.
In addition, one of the most enjoyable things to do in Vang Vieng is to keep your eyes open for some magnificent wildlife.
Vang Vieng By Motorbike Tours
When you have the following knowledge, your Laos off-road motorbike tours will be even more enjoyable:
Renting a Motorbike
Many specialized stores and guest homes hire motorcycles for 100-120,000 LAK for an automatic and 60-80,000 LAK for a semi-automatic; however, pricing is negotiable.
When renting a motorcycle, you normally have to leave your passport, which we try to avoid because a shady business might claim phony damages and hold your passport hostage until you pay.

This isn't typical, but you’d better attempt to leave a photocopy of your passport or passport ID card instead.
If you don't want to leave your passport at the rental shop and can't persuade them to use an alternative, visit your guest house. They may be less rigorous because they already know who you are.
Laos Motorbike Routes
The Kaeng Nyui Waterfall, Tham Nam (Water Cave), Pha Thao Cave, Ban Pha Tang, and the Blue Lagoon are among the attractions we recommend.
The sequence in which these places should be seen is optional. However, we would try to avoid visiting the Blue Lagoon and the water cave during busiest times.
That said, all of the tour companies provide the same popular trip, which includes a late morning visit to the water cave and a late afternoon visit to the Blue Lagoon.
The Blue Lagoon is a good first or end stop on your motorbike trip because of its location. However, the latter is preferable if you want to swim after a hard day on the motorcycle. If that's the case, visit later in the afternoon, around 16:00, and prepare to blow off steam until it shuts (around 18:00).
There will still be a crowd, but it will be smaller. If you wish to see Tham Phu Kham cave, arrive a little early. Be aware that there are three locations claiming to be the Blue Lagoon.
Some individuals have mistakenly visited one of the "fakes" and then been perplexed as to why it is such a popular attraction. If you're traveling alone, make sure you mark the correct location on your map beforehand.
Kaeng Nyui is a pleasant but unspectacular waterfall. Because the dirt road is so bumpy, heading there and back will be unpleasant and take longer than you may expect based on distance (about 6 km from town one way).
Although Pha Thao Cave isn't on many people's bucket lists, it's pretty wonderful. It is near the water cave, but the way to get there is too small for a motorcycle, making it hard for a motorbike tour group to explore.

Most one-day trips include a visit to the water cave (Tham Nam), which is well worth seeing for the novelty and enjoyment.
It is a vast cave with two major passageways that you navigate by floating on an inner tube and dragging yourself along using ropes placed specifically for this purpose.
The little community of Ban Phatang is located a few kilometers from the water cave on Highway 13. This is claimed to be the vantage point utilized for the professional photos of Vang Vieng that you see on posters, as it is on the Nam Song river.
Laos Motorbike Tours Price
When comparing the cost of renting a motorcycle to the cost of one of the popular full-day tours, the tours, which frequently include kayaking and lunch, are likely to be more cost-effective.
Some excursions include a zipline course, which you could do on your own because one of the courses is very adjacent to the water cave, but we believe it would be more budget-friendly to do as part of a tour.
But if your budget allows, you’ll never regret riding a motorbike to explore this lovely town. The major benefits of renting a motorcycle are the adventure, fewer crowds, and flexibility to explore and do what you want on your own time. Feel the wind tearing through your hair and unleash your inner self! That’s how we live our youth!
Laos Dirtbike Tours In Vang Vieng
The circle out to the Blue Lagoon and back to Vang Vieng in a counterclockwise pattern through the mountains is another great journey to take. Although the roads are uneven and muddy during the rainy season, the view is breathtaking.
During the rainy season, take a six-kilometer (one-way) ride northeast of town to the Kaeng Nyui waterfall. You may even create a large circle out of it by continuing counterclockwise from the falls until you reach Km 161, where you will rejoin Route 13.

Finally, the 14-kilometer north along Route 13 to the Water Cave makes one of the stunning Vang Vieng motorbike tours on decent roads that will frequently stop you from riding to snap photographs.
Ban Phatang, a little village in Nam Song, is only a few kilometers away. The karst is widely photographed from this vantage point in professional shots of Vang Vieng. And it contains the renowned Phatang cliff, which rises abruptly from the rice fields like a jagged upside-down fang.
Conclusion
Try exploring Vang Vieng by motorbike at least once; it will undoubtedly be a memorable experience.
Vang Vieng is becoming Laos' ecotourism and adventure hub. This town has a lot to offer adventure-seeking travelers, including rock climbing, kayaking, motorbiking, hiking, mountain bike activities, and the amazing Blue Lagoons.
