Lovely
Went to Ha Giang in the North West highlands. This is as good as I’ve ever seen, in fact it was my fourth trip in the area (in the 10 years living in Hanoi), and has the best scenery in Vietnam (other great places are HCM Highway around Danang, and North East highlands).
Superb long weekend, at times going out of my comfort zone. (This trip was different because I’m used to driving around on a CB1100 in the city, not on off-road dirtbike!). Met up with some Vietnamese strangers, and headed to the Chinese border on day one (pretty long trip). Accommodation even cheaper than usual along the way because of Covid. Some of the guys spoke English and were keen to practice their skills.
