07 Dec
Introduction
On the occasion of the 2023 New Year holiday, we made a long trip to the central provinces of Vietnam. Far from our imagination of a barren area, the beautiful scenery stretching from the mountains and the sea left a lasting impression on our minds, all the more reason to come back. Though it is one of the first guided motorbike tours in Vietnam 2023, it deserves to give the ultimate experience.
Guided Motorbike Tours In Vietnam 2023: 11 Days To The Highland Central Of Vietnam
Day 1: Saigon – Nam Cat Tien Motorcycle Tour
Our motorbike tours in Vietnam 2023 went south towards Nam Cat Tien National Park. The first part of the route cut through busy streets filled with large vehicles. However, the bustle stayed behind as we approached the countryside. Before coming to our destination, we visited many interesting attractions. Not too far from Saigon, our motorbikes stopped at Tri An Hydropower Plant. Following the Dong Nai route, our motorcycle tour continued to conquer the Ma Da forest, which is famous for its rich flora and heroic historical stories.View more:Ha Giang loop motorbike2023
Day 2: Nam Cat Tien – Trieu Hoa Motorbike Trip
We started the motorbike into the deep forest ofNam Cat Tienon dirt roads. Our tour struggled to get out of the long, dense trees and paved the way to Lam Dong province. The song of the birds and the fluttering of the leaves calmed our restless souls. That was why we slowed down and took a deep breath of the fresh air beneath the trees. Nature led us to an ideal camping location – Trieu Hai Waterfall. The strong flow pouring down from the top created echoes from a distance, overwhelming us among the majestic nature.View more:Sapa loop motorbike tours2023
Day 3: Trieu Hoa – Lam Ha By Motorbike
On the way to the “city of love”, we turned into Lam Ha in Bao Loc province. Outside the scope of tourism exploitation, this small town still preserves the wild features of the mountains. From the walking paths through the forest, we increased the throttle to climb the slopes. The higher the altitude, the lower the temperature. Tea plantations appeared along the hillside dotted with rustic wooden houses.
Day 4: Lam Ha – Gia Nghia Motorbike Route
A night rain messed up the dirt road to Gia Nghia – the youngest city in Vietnam. On the bright side, this difficulty could not discourage young hearts. Our Vietnam guided motorbike tours headed south to discover a foreign region on the tourist map.Lieng Nung Waterfall, located on the edge of the official territory, welcomed our first steps. It looks like a white silk strip hanging on the cliff. The surroundings switched into a modern vibe as we got closer to the center.
Day 5: Gia Nghia Motorcycle Ride To Buon Ma Thuot
We moved a short distance to a neighboring province and visited Buon Ma Thuot. When the endless coffee fields invaded our vision, the destination was ahead. This city left us with many questions about the birth of the ethnic people who ruled the hills for hundreds of years, such as Bana, Ede, etc.View more:Ho Chi Minh Trail By motorcycle2023
We visited a prosperous village to unclog some curiosites and expand our cultural understanding. Stories of unknown origin about caves, bamboo groves and great ancestors told by the locals came one after another that we all lost track of time.
Day 6: Buon Ma Thuot – Da Lat Motorbike Tour
We set off early for the “Paris of Vietnam.” Though we rested in Dalat many times, we could not hold back our excitement each time we visited. Like so many times before, the dreamy city greeted us with cold breezes from the towering pine forests. We were immersed in the slow pace of life of the locals. Our motorbikes rolled on paved roads to interesting attractions such as Datanla waterfall, Langbiang peak, Robin hill, etc. Every time we felt our hands stiffen from the cold, we warmed up with a glass of soy milk.
Day 7: Da Lat – Nha Trang Motorbike Trip
It was an abrupt transition from a cold climate to a hot and humid tropical one. Our self guided motorbike tours in Vietnam came to beautiful coastal cities; the first was Nha Trang. We followed the roads along the sea, passing from the sparse fishing villages to the crowded center. We booked a treatment in a hot spring to relieve muscle fatigue. In the evening, locals introduced us to a local restaurant known for its fresh seafood dishes.
Day 8: Vinh Hy Bay Motorbike Tour
Saying goodbye to the rough roads, we put our feet on the smooth white sand and loosened up all day long at Vinh Hy Bay. The sun tanned our skin, while the clear sea water cooled it afterward. As twilight embraced us, we boarded the basket boats to move a little further for a 360-degree view. The fishermen returned one after another after a day at sea with baskets full of fish that stimulated our hungry bellies.
Day 9: Vinh Hy – Phan Rang Motorbike Path
We went back to our motorbikes and the jungle route to Phan Rang. The extreme temperatures and dry winds knocked us down in the first few moments. Our team had to stop a few times at the dragon fruit orchards to drink water and cool down the engine. Fortunately, the long rows of trees softened the atmosphere when we reached Ma Da. We also came across small cool streams. The forest was full of life with rich flora and fauna.
Day 10: Phan Rang – Phan Thiet Motorcycle Trip
We started the vehicle early to watch the sunrise on the road along the sea. The sun shone its first rays on the blue sea, making the scene sparkle as if it was the dancing show of hundreds of precious gems. The beaches seemed to stretch endlessly to Phan Thiet.View more:Mekong Delta Motorbike Tours2023
A clean paved road between two white dunes reminded us of cowboy movies. It was quite empty of traffic, thus we stopped for a while to take pictures. Our cameras also worked hard at the ancient towers belonging to the Cham culture.
Day 11: Back To Ho Chi Minh City
We woke up in regret because our precious guided Vietnam motorbike tours had ended. Though we roamed through many provinces during the 10 days, it was never enough to capture the wildlife. We got on the bus back to Saigon with a mind full of good memories.
Conclusion
Eleven days in the central provinces brought us to the best days of our youth. We have learned, experienced, and fell in love with more of the good things in Vietnam. One thing is for sure we will be back for other guided motorbike tours in Vietnam 2023. And you should too!Visit our site for more Vietnam motorcycle tours that you should try once in life!
