DAY 1: HANOI - VU LINH VILLAGE (THAC BA LAKE, YEN BAI)
Welcome to the motorcyclist team! Today we will accompany you visit Thac Ba lake. From Hanoi to the Northeast 60 km about 2 hours driving, we reach Vu Linh commune which is home to Dao people, an ethnic minority in Yen Bai province. right after you come to this land, the first thing you feel is pure atmosphere due to green ecosystem with the dense forest ranges as well as river and lake which helps cool down temperature and filter the air. We will have a short ride to Thac Ba lake which is closed to Vu Linh village.
This lake was one of the largest artificial lakes in Vietnam with total area of 23400 ha composing over 1300 islands and islets, forming beautiful caves, created when the Thac Ba Hydropower Plant was constructed on the Chay River in Yen Binh district.

DAY 2: THAC BA MOTORCYCLE TOURS TO BA BE NATIONAL PARK (BAC KAN)
This morning we will leave Bac Kan province to visit another destination that we should never miss – Ba Be National Park.
After we have breakfast, we ride to the east and stop in Cho Chu town for lunch. This site is in Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province where had the strong protests and movements over the enemy during the wartime. Afterwards, we continue riding straight upward, crossing the winding passes along the high mountains and settle in BA BE National Park in Bac Kan province.
There is an interesting fact about Bac Kan is that this place owns the largest area of forest in the Northeastern region that is why green color is all around. You definitely will get lost in the nature here. Ba Be National Park has a lot to offer.
“Ba Be was given the designation of National Park in 1992 in an effort to protect this stunning area of rich biodiversity and unique landscapes. As well as this, it also features as an ASEAN Heritage Park. The park itself stretches over 10,048 ha and has many different ecosystems within its borders.
The ground and surrounding mountains are made up mainly of limestone karst which is characteristic of the north of Vietnam, and the forests consist of mostly evergreen vegetation with bamboo growing closer to banks of the lake. In the heart of the park is Ba Be Lake which is the largest and highest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam.
The lake is made up of three smaller lakes and surrounded by limestone karsts some of which open up into magnificent caves. The park also features many caves which have formed over years of erosion some, some of which have only been discovered recently.” (Babenationpark.com)

DAY 3: BA BE MOTORCYCLE TOURS TO CAO BANG CITY
Today will be an easy riding route as we set off from Ba Be Lake then keep riding on the winding roads to passes with some blind curves to get to Cao Bang town. There will be some stopovers during the stage to take rest and capture such an amazing views before we settle in. We’ll stay in a Cao Bang hotel.

DAY 4: CAO BANG - BAN GIOC WATERFALL - QUANG UYEN (CAO BANG)
Today let’s take your time to visit the iconic spot in Cao Bang province which is Ban Gioc Waterfall. Situated in Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, Ban Gioc waterfall is fed by Quay Son river marking border with China. The falls are 30 metres high and 300 metres across, making Ban Gioc the widest (but not the highest) waterfall in Viet Nam.
“The white cascade is fringed with foliage and framed by sharp, tooth-like limestone mountains, which are partly obscured by drifting clouds of vapour from all the spray generated by the waterfall”. from far distance, you can get the panoramic view of this scenic spot featured by the evergreen forests and paddy fields surrounding. This is one of the Vietnamese most impressive natural sights. We will get on the bamboo raft to get close to the cascade so you can feel the spray on your face. After visit, we have lunch in a local restaurant and head backward to Quang Uyen town.

DAY 5: QUANG UYEN MOTORBIKE TOUR VIA PAC BO THEN BAO LAC
Grab some foods to start the day, then drive your motorbike to the Northwestern direction leading to our next destination which is Pac Bo historical site. On February 20, 1961, Pac Bo historical site was officially recognized by the State as a national vestige of particular significance.
Pac Bo cave ( one part of this site ) was the place that our Vietnam national hero, beloved president Ho Chi Minh used to live and work during his revolutionary career since the time he came back after his exile in China on 8th February 1941. Within the darkest period of Vietnamese revolution, this place witnessed the most important decisions of Uncle Ho leading to the national independence.
Coming this site you can feel the simple lifestyle of a president as he fished right on the front river – Le Nin spring as well as cooked soup from wild vegetable like bamboo shoot taken in the forest named Karl Marx.
Although the cave was devastated by the northern army in the Vietnam 1979 frontier war, it was then partially recovered to welcome visitor from all over the world. After that the trip ends in Bao Lac

DAY 6: BAO LAC MOTORBIKE TOUR VIA MEO VAC TO DONG VAN
Waking up and diving in to the natural beauty of Cao Bang as listening to the birdsongs, letting the early morning light starts your beautiful day will make your day. Fill yourself with light breakfast then we get ready to move toward Meo Vac town. Now this part promises to be one of the most challenging but worthy one as you will conquer the craggy Ma Pi Leng pass winding about 22 km from Dong Van. The pass locates on the “Happiness” road connecting Meo Vac and Dong Van.
The pass’s name is interesting ! Ma Pi Leng means horse’s nose as it depicts that the horse is not able to run through due to its rugged terrain. Ma Pi Leng pass with one side is the deep chasms, another side is the erect cliff, which has been a big challenge to any adventure.
After crossing the slopes, we hit the top of Ma Pi Leng in which you will see the poetic river flowing calmly far below then keep riding along the hillside to reach Dong Van. We’ll have a visit to Dong Van karst plateau with majestic rocky landscapes which surely surprises you. We take a night rest in a local hotel.

DAY 7: DONG VAN MOTORBIKE TOUR TO HA GIANG VIA TAM SON
After breakfast, our tour will motorcycle to Sa Phin commune home to H’mong King Palace. Nestled in a valley, the Vuong family’s palace stands out for its massive structure and unique design reflecting Chinese architecture. Vuong's Palace is home to Vuong Duc Chinh and his son Vuong Chi Sinh. Vuong Duc Chinh was a mandarin under Nguyen Dynasty.
Vuong Chinh Duc became rich from trading goods, especially opium. Sa Phin is the middle point of opium from the Golden Triangle region of Myanmar Yunnan China to Indochina. he also set up his own army unit of loyal Hmong people and equipped them with weapons.
He built his palace, a mansion of his own as a way to enjoy his wealth and assert power.
When starting on building a mansion for his clan, Duc invited a Chinese geology expert to survey the region and throughout the valley Sa Phin. This land was chosen because the terrain here emerged as a turtle shell representing long life and wealth.
Afterwards, our group head west to Tam Son town then stop here for lunch. The tour continues by riding down to Ha Giang city where we stay overnight.

DAY 8: HA GIANG MOTORBIKE TOUR TO BAC HA VIA HOANG SU PHI
From Ha Giang city, we ride down along the bank of Lo river, passing off-road tracks then suddenly ride up to the very high mountain with a view of the amazing terraced rice fields in the beautiful valleys spotting local houses in lines. Hoang Su Phi is a good place to take the stunning pictures.
Passing this site, there will be a stopover in Xin Man town for lunch then we keep riding to visit Bac Ha market in Lao Cai province. held every Sunday, this is the biggest market in the Northwestern Viet Nam. Painted by the colorful costumes many ethnic minorities like H’mong, Dao, Tay, Nung from it’s neighbors,

DAY 9: BAC HA MOTORBIKE TOUR TO SAPA
Leaving Bac Ha, the guide will show you the way to Sa Pa border gate we stop for lunch. Then we continue driving our dirt bike along the small and narrow roads, over the fertile terraced field adored by the green of corn and rice to discover Ta Van village. This is home to the Giay ethnic minority.
The Giay communities often reside together at the bottom, mountains, the valleys, along streams. Growing rice is the major profession of the Giay. Besides, they also produce instruments and engraved silver. The Giay have quite various cultures with fairy-tale, poetry, proverbs and riddles.
Costumes of the Giay are simple: women with short eczema, wearing cloth bag with embroidered flowers; man also wears pants and shirt. We will enjoy some special dishes of ethnic Giay such as: roast fish of Muong Hum, horse meat of Muong Khuong, sticky rice of Van Ban… then head back to settle in Sa Pa town.

Coming to Than Uyen takes us around 2.5hrs riding over 100 km. This part of Northern Vietnam Motorbike Tour will definitely amaze you by the most challenging but fantastic conquering pass experience which is O Quy Ho Pass, listed as one out of four daunting passes in Northwestern Vietnam. The pass is 50km long through the massive range mountain Hoang Lien Son with a height of 2000m above the sea level connecting Lao Cai and Lai Chau province.

Let’s feed your soul with fresh air and take some pictures then we drive down to reach Mai Chau valley. We schedule to get back Hanoi before peak times to avoid traffic jam.

The Giay communities often reside together at the bottom, mountains, the valleys, along streams. Growing rice is the major profession of the Giay. Besides, they also produce instruments and engraved silver. The Giay have quite various cultures with fairy-tale, poetry, proverbs and riddles.
Costumes of the Giay are simple: women with short eczema, wearing cloth bag with embroidered flowers; man also wears pants and shirt. We will enjoy some special dishes of ethnic Giay such as: roast fish of Muong Hum, horse meat of Muong Khuong, sticky rice of Van Ban… then head back to settle in Sa Pa town.

Sapa – Free
Taking a road trip to North Viet Nam, Sa Pa is a must to visit. Like a cloudy heaven town, Sa Pa offers the guests much beauties to explore. Today is the most expected part of our journey as we spend much more time here to explore this beautiful land.
There are some options for the chilled day in Sapa. We can take a stroll around the town and discover the local lifestyle or take a cable car up to highest peak of Vietnam – Fansipan or have another short ride descend the Muong Hoa valley to get to know more about ethnic tribal groups of the H’Mong, Giay or Tay people. Day 11
Sapa Motorbike Tour to Than Uyen
Coming to Than Uyen takes us around 2.5hrs riding over 100 km. This part of Northern Vietnam Motorbike Tour will definitely amaze you by the most challenging but fantastic conquering pass experience which is O Quy Ho Pass, listed as one out of four daunting passes in Northwestern Vietnam. The pass is 50km long through the massive range mountain Hoang Lien Son with a height of 2000m above the sea level connecting Lao Cai and Lai Chau province.
From the top of O Quy Ho pass you can get the panorama of Fansipan mountain – highest mountain in Indochina. This legendary experience definitely can inspire any adventure lover. Crossing this border line, we drive to Than Uyen town belongs to Lai Chau.

Day 12
Than Uyen Motorbike Tour to Phu Yen via Mu Cang Chai
Phu Yen is about 230km far from Than Uyen. we also cross the scenic roads over rustic villages of hill tribes then stop in Mu Cang Chai terraced paddy field. You will see the lush valley colored by the ripen rice field, the green trees from surrounding mountains so you should definitely capture the best stunning photos. We keep riding, conquering Lung Lo pass to reach Phu Yen in Son La province.

Day 13
Phu Yen - Mai Chau
Before we start our ride today, let’s enjoy your breakfast. We ride along the Da river lake to feel the peace and purity. In the middle of this route, the group will pause in Moc Chau’s tea plantation for lunch and a short sight-seeing.
Let’s feed your soul with fresh air and take some pictures then we drive down to reach Mai Chau valley. This lush green valley, fringed with large terraced rice fields is home to the Thai ethnic minority living in stilt houses. today will be remarkable by dinner party since we dine and cheer together and admire the traditional Xoe dance by the Thai. Settle in Thai’s houses.

Day 14
Mai Chau - Hanoi
There are many ways to ride back to Hanoi from Mai Chau on the old French road along the Da river. We will go back to the road No 6 and take a turn to small and less traveled French road that leads us going along the Black river lake. The view here is like in Ha long bay. We schedule to get back Hanoi before peak times to avoid traffic jam.
